Prices in US dollars. Your domain registration (usually $10–20 a year) stays in your name and is paid to your registrar. Larger changes, like new pages or online booking, are quoted separately before any work starts.

You own your domain

It stays registered in your name. If you leave, you keep it and point it wherever you like.

You can leave anytime

Cancel from the link in your receipt. Monthly plans stop at the end of the month you've paid for.

You get a person

Text or email me directly. Small edits are usually done within 3 business days.

Questions

Why is the website free?

Building from a proven template takes me little time, so I'd rather show you the result first. I earn from hosting and care, which only works if you're happy enough to stay.

Can I change the text and photos?

Yes. Send me what you want changed and I'll update it. Edits within your monthly allowance are included.

Do I have to move my email?

No. Only the website records change. Your email keeps working as it does today.

What if I already pay someone for hosting?

You can cancel your old hosting once the new site is live. I'll tell you exactly when it's safe to do so.

What happens if I cancel?

The site stays online until the end of your paid period. If you'd like to keep it elsewhere, I'll send you the files.

Terms, cancellation and refunds

The service

Better Website provides website hosting, maintenance and small content edits for small businesses on a monthly or yearly subscription, as described in the plan you choose.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the customer portal link in your receipt, or by email.
Monthly plans end at the close of the current paid month. No further charges are made.
Yearly plans end at the close of the paid year.

Refunds

Monthly plans: payments already made are not refunded.
Yearly plans: a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of payment. After that, no refund for the remaining period.
If the website is offline for more than 24 consecutive hours because of a fault on our side, that month is refunded on request.

Ownership

Your domain, business name, logo, text and photos remain yours. On cancellation you may request a copy of your website files.

Payments

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Card details are never stored by Better Website.

Privacy

We only use the contact details you give us to provide the service and to reach you about it. Website previews are built from information publicly available on your existing website.
